Phi Engineering executed the erection of a pre-engineered steel truss (PEB) roof system for Mery Sanitation Chemicals Manufacturing in Furi, Ethiopia. The existing factory concrete structure was already built, and the PEB roof components were fabricated by Kirby, ensuring high-quality steel and structural reliability.
The project provided a durable, wide-span roofing solution suitable for chemical manufacturing and storage operations, integrating seamlessly with the pre-existing reinforced concrete building.
Engineering and Execution
Design & Coordination: Phi Engineering verified the as-built concrete structure, conducted site surveys, and prepared erection methodology for the Kirby-fabricated PEB roof system.
Construction / Erection: Installed primary steel trusses, secondary members, purlins, and bracing, ensuring proper alignment, stability, and load transfer to the existing concrete structure.
Quality & Safety: All erection works were executed in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and Ethiopian construction and safety regulations.
